How Fast Do Most Boat Props Spin Going 5 MPH How About 40 MPHThe boat Is Only 20 feet & the prop has a 10 inch radius?


Is a low 200rpm guess for going 40?

Depends on the boat, but 200 does seem impossibly slow for 40 mph!Most boats (outboards) top speed will be around 5000-6000.200 rpm is barely even running!I would say a good average for 5 mph on a standard outboard would be around 800-1200 rpm, depending on the payload.
